What are your top issues for this election season?

The Carrborean is conducting a survey of Carrboro voters and what they (you!) want to hear discussed at upcoming municipal election forums. This is your opportunity to make your priorities known to those who will be sitting on the dais come December.

If you’ve never been to a municipal forum, you may not know there is almost always someone screening questions that get submitted for candidates to address. That screening process generally weeds out controversial issues or those that might put current officials/candidates in a position of having to answer tough questions with realistic responses. For example, aspirational questions such as “Do you support a zero-emission public transit system by 2035?” are always affirmed within our progressive community but the answers mean nothing if there is no added clause such as “and how do you propose paying for it?”
