Jordan Lake is home to at least 25 nesting pairs of bald eagles. In the winter, dozens of migratory eagles join the local eagles and congregate below the dam.

To celebrate this amazing sight the Jordan Lake State Recreation Area will host its First Annual EagleFest at the Jordan Tailrace, just below the dam. Partnering organizations will have displays highlighting the Jordan Lake eagle population and ongoing and conservation efforts. Activities will include guided bird walks, stationary birdwatching, Ranger talks, and more!

This event is FREE and geared toward all ages!
